Ask yourself how often you see people shooting with normal film-based cameras these days. No doubt, you’d find most people use a digital camera in some way or the other; be it digicams, cellphone cameras or multifunctional all-in-one gizmos sporting a built-in digicam. Digital photography is quickly becoming the preferred way to take pictures; with consumers and manufacturers rapidly migrating to digital photography solutions. Some companies like Kodak have stopped producing traditional film based cameras totally. If you still haven’t got a digicam, get yourself a new digital camera and join the bandwagon…they come real cheap these days!
What makes the consumers embrace these nice little gizmos? With digicams, there’s no need to load films, picture taking, saving, printing, viewing and sharing is incredibly fast and easy; thanks to the intelligent devices like the computer and digital photo frames. Thanks to the internet, a picture can be shared or backed up in seconds. Digital photography is cheap, user-friendly and no-mess solution. With built-in image enhancement and editing capabilities, life has become far easier for amateur as well as professional photographers.
Finding the right digital camera can be a hard decision for you to make because there are so many different types, brands, styles, and sizes available on the digital camera market today. Think of what possible uses would your camera be used for and your budget. Also, choosing a digicam with features matching your photography skills is very important. A professional buying a low-end camera or a rookie buying a high-end monster cam is a really bad situation everyone should try to avoid.
The next step is to look for trusted digital camera reviews from sites like Test Freaks and go through the large collection of digicam reviews from reliable sources covering various brands and models.

I have just bought a Casio 10.1 MP digital camera and have found it to be really cool. Even the video quality is nice. I am not happy with the voice quality in videos though.
