Good on ya, hope you reach your goal. I opted for a Dell XPS 1530 over the MacBook Pro only because I have about $4000 in software and no way to transfer it. I’m told the MBP is fantastic.

my partner bought me one for my birthday. instead of getting a news one you might consider the refurbished route of even through craigslist. i bought mine new, though.
