Today I came across a free online service called FlipTrack (still in beta) which lets you create awesome slideshow music videos out of your images very easily. FlipTrack allows you to easily combine your photos, effects and popular music into a video “mashup”.

Their technology allows you to match images to the beats or lyrics of songs, so you can create a real “soundtrack” for your photos. Share your cool creations easily with friends and family. This seems to be a great way to legally create and share your videos over the net. FlipTrack requires you to register for free and download their FlipTrack client software for windows to create great slideshow videos. Media files are pretty big generally, hence the need for a standalone software. It allows you to insert your own images, tracks from the music library and edit your videos. The client software even features a wizard which guides you in adding images, music, effects and text and requires a windows PC, Windows XP or Vista with a high-speed internet connection and 10 MB space for installation.

After your video is done, you may upload it to FlipTrack and it’s ready to be seen, rated and commented by people from all over the world. FlipTrack also gives you an embedding code which enables you to share your creation on MySpace, Friendster, Xanga, Blogger, Piczo, Bebo, Dogster and similar other social networking or your own websites.
