I notice this is for apache 1.3.37, however, I’m using apache 2.2.4 and some of these values are in a few places, with the defaults being a bit different.

Any ideas for optimizing apache 2.2.4?

The following Apache setting is also working great for me now :

Timeout 200 KeepAlive On MaxKeepAliveRequests 200 KeepAliveTimeout 3 MinSpareServers 5 MaxSpareServers 15 StartServers 5 MaxClients 40 MaxRequestsPerChild 5000 HostnameLookups Off
