Big Web LinksI came across Big Web Links Directory a few weeks ago when it was submitted to my pay-for-inclusion SEO friendly and human edited web directory network. This site is owned by Chris Hoffman, one of my old and esteemed clients; also a great friend at the Digital Point forums (aka mystikmedia). Well, you might be thinking that despite owning a web directory network myself, why am I writing about Chris ? Well just as I said above, he’s a great webmaster and owns a bunch of interesting, well promoted sites ranking well in the search engines. This post is my thank you gesture for his continued sponsorship towards my sites.

The Big Web Links Directory is different than most other web directories that are mushrooming on the cyberspace everyday. It is a search engine friendly directory based on the concept of link bidding. Webmasters are aware how getting their sites listed in the different well promoted web directories can benefit them and Chris’s new directory is a great place to get listed.

Frequent web directory submitters must have noticed that your listing may move on from the first page to 2nd, 4th or even the 10th page as they are generally sorted by PageRank, by alphabets or by hits. To provide more control to submitters and website owners on the position of the listing, Big Web Links introduces the “bid high for higher placement” policy where listings are sorted by the contribution amount. This allows webmasters control their listing position easily and effectively.

For example, if a webmaster wants a listing to be on a category’s first page, the dollar amount can be adjusted to the amount needed to achieve this goal. Listing contribution increases take immediate effect. As an additional benefit, the top 10 listings are shown on the homepage, while the top 20 listings are shown on the top links page, which is a significant benefit for those listings. A listing details page dedicated for each listing is also provided, which makes a total of 4 links possible in the directory.

The Big Web Links Bid Directory is new, but it is being very heavily promoted to offer traffic as well as very good link value. The site is expected to have a very respectable Google PR and search engine rankings soon. So, its definitely worth to get your websites listed there quickly.
